Hello! My name is Justin and here’s how I accidentally became a wedding film maker.

Before ever picking up a camera I was (and still am) a musician. I began writing music when I was 8 years old and have been involved in many groups/bands over the years. While in high school it became evident to me that I needed to be able to create photo/video content for these bands that I was in. This lead me to buy my first camera. After planning, shooting, and editing my first “official” music video I fell in love with the medium. The ability to tell stories in this capacity is absolutely incredible to me.

During my senior year of high school I started Sanders Media. I had no intention of filming weddings, I wanted to make movies! In addition to serving on the worship team at church I joined the video production team as well. This introduced me to a wedding photographer. She asked me if I filmed weddings and I said yes. (That was a total lie. In church too…) She then offered me an opportunity to film one with her.

After committing to my first wedding, I began doing a TON of research on how to actually go about doing it. There was a huge learning curve, but I persevered and did the best I was capable of at the time.

Through all of that another spark had ignited. Similar to when I completed that first music video, I had a new high to chase through filming weddings. There was now SO MUCH purpose in the stories I was capturing.

Six years later and I’m still going strong, and loving every second of it! I got married in 2020 to Elle, and she helps me shoot and edit.
